HOW TO PLAY (OVERVIEW)
SLAYERS AND DEMONS
Acting as the other’s opponents, two teams alternate between their heroic band of Slayers and then the monstrous Demons that oppose them.
After a number of turns, teams switch from their Slayers to the Demons and vice versa; this continues throughout the campaign.
NAVIGATION
Players navigate across the Overworld using a combination of dice rolls and event cards in addition to any Landmarks such as a Dungeon or Colony.
Each of the 10 Regions of Eragoth has its own map, with their own paths, story, and unique mechanics/objectives.
COMBAT
Whilst on the Overworld, the team that is currently controlling the Demons summon them into battle using a currency that they earned from defeating Demons when they were controlling their Slayers. Slayers will also encounter Boss Demons in Dungeons & Strongholds whose soul they must capture in order to reach to the final boss, the Skeleton Witch.
The battle system is turn-based with one team completing their round of combat before the opposing team moves. Between Slayers and Demons, there are over 300 moves to utilise!
Slayers typically excel at certain roles, e.g. Attacker or Healer, each having 4 unique Arts (moves), an Ability and an upgrade item to collect. In addition, players build up bonuses to deal powerful full team attacks and to unlock a much stronger heroes called a Guardian whose stats dwarf that of a Slayer.
